"Great atmosphere. Quesadillas are yummy! I love the fresh juice and different varieties of iced-tea." -- M. Alcorn
"The newest, freshest variety of Mexican food to hit Katy. The quesadillas are unbelievably tasty and unique. What really tops off every dish are the homemade salsas/hot sauces--they'll spoil you for the pre-packaged kind. And my 3-year-old daughter absolutely loves the fresh flour tortillas and the melon liquados--a big deal, considering how finicky she is. This restaurant will be a definite mainstay on our eating-out list." --S. Stephens
"The tacos de a pastor are amazing. Along with the fish tacos, they are unique. The salsas taste just like they came straight off a stand in Jalisco, Mexico . I had agua de Jamaica (Hibiscus water)--it was unbelievable. This is an authentic Mexican restaurant." --L. Gutierrez
"I lived in Mexico City for several years and have looked for the authentic fresh tasting Mexican food I missed so much after leaving. El Fresh Taco is the real deal! This is not TexMex! Not only is it unbelievably delicious, it is healthy too. I am especially fond of the fish tacos on lettuce, but I find myself trying new items each time I visit. The House Quesadillas are to die for! The tortillas are super fresh and tasty and the rice is has a great, light texture and flavor. I can't get enough! The prices are very reasonable. I am a customer for life! - D. Ayoubi
"Why should you drive to El Fresh Taco for Mexican food when there are so many Mexican restaurants in Katy? Because the food is unbelievably fresh and the owner's enthusiasm for said food is off the charts as well.
Other reasons:
* he doesn't use lard
* he calls his beans "smashed" since they're not fried
* he pays an astronomical amount for his oil
* the rice is his grandmother's recipe from the dark ages
* his wife hand makes all the salad dressings
* all the salsas are homemade fresh every day
* the house quesadilla is on this super fat homemade corn tortilla thingy
(sp?) that is to die for (it's more like an empanada than what we typically
see as quesadilla)
* he has liquadas that are delicious
* I'm from a family of food snobs and I know good food."
