Because the food is unbelievably fresh and the owner's enthusiasm for said food is off the charts as well.                  Other reasons:         * he doesn't use lard         * he calls his beans "smashed" since they're not fried         * he pays an astronomical amount for his oil         * the rice is his grandmother's recipe from the dark ages         * his wife hand makes all the salad dressings         * all the salsas are homemade fresh every day         * the house quesadilla is on this super fat homemade corn tortilla thingy     (sp?) that is to die for (it's more like an empanada than what we typically     see as quesadilla)         * he has liquadas that are delicious         * I'm from a family of food snobs and I know good food." nnnnnn --T.
